Hump day…

In Welina on July 13, 2011 at 5:38 pm

Hey everyone! Welina here. Today is Wednesday, otherwise known as “hump day” and I have never felt so drained. I am balancing a part-time job here at OSLCE, a demanding internship over by North Station, and finishing up essays and doing research for a summer study abroad program I just came back from a week ago. Life has never let me down, and I enjoy riding the waves where they take me, but little sleep and a lot of demands makes for Zombie Welina.

But enough about me.

Here in the office, we’re preparing mail outs for the Freshman Leadership Institute! The mail outs include a brochure about Freshman Leadership Institute and a letter from Sherrod (our supervisor and the director of OSLCE). This is the second year FLI has been running and it benefits first time, first year UMass Boston students with their transition from high school to college with a weekend retreat and upperclassmen mentors to walk them through their first semester of college. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, here is the link explaining everything there is to know!

If you have any questions, feel free to email the office at or giving us a call at (617) 287-6077.

Thanks for tuning in!
